The AX9 is the first Switch binding with a highback.

The AX9 has all of the features that you would expect from a Switch binding (non-clog design, Active Closure system, 4-point connection, side to side interface, etc...), with the addition of a highback. The highback on the AX9 is padded, and has micro-adjustable forward lean. The highback can also be adjusted to eliminate any gap between the highback and the heelcup.

The heelcup of the AX9 is size adjustable. A size adjustable heelcup ensures that the AX9 will work with many different size boots.

The base of the AX9 is made of a plastic alloy, with dampening pads. The dampening pads are located at the toe and heel contact points and act as shock absorbers. Also, because the base of the binding is raised above the board, and the boot does not rest directly on the board, toe/heel drag should be minimized.

Switch step-ins are one of the top three step-in systems available, and with the addition of a step-in with a highback, they only get better. The AX9 should be one of the hottest binding set-ups out this season. Anyone looking for a new binding, or wanting to make the transition to a step-in, should consider the Switch AX9.
