Huge Waves Pound Southern Califonia Beaches
These shots are from Windansea beach near La Jolla, CA on January 1, 2006. (Click the pictures for a larger view).
Wave heights are expected to reach 10 feet through the next couple of days with sets reaching as high as 13 feet at beaches south of La Jolla. With this high surf, strong rip currents, and water temperatures in the high 50's, be careful-
Only go out if you are an experienced surfer!
